Abstract
The memoirs by I.G. Samsonova, nee Voronina, from the personal archive of S.A. Smirnov are published. The memoirs cover the end of the XIX and the beginning of the XX century and include interesting details on her life in the family that was visited by L. Tolstoy, M. Gorkiy, I. Levitan, many Moscow Art Theatre actors. The spiritual atmosphere and communication of artistic elite of the time are described.
