Abstract

The author analyses L.L. Kofanov’s objections to the criticism of his conception of the role of Roman jurists under Republic. The aim of the paper is to show inconsistency of these objections, founded on inaccurate presentation of the object discussed, incorrect argumentation and faulty interpretations and translations of some passages in sources and in modern research.
