Abstract

The article considers traditional costume complex of Old Believer's, that is typical for Don Cossaks society. The structure of Old Believers costume is viewed as a stable semantic system that is tightly connected with his/her sense-generating principles. The author tries to analyze Old Believer's costume elements as a differentiate mark of day-to-day culture of Don Cossaks and as a specific way of selfidentification in non-Old Believers environment.
