Abstract
The newly opened memorial to the victims of the 17th century witch trials in Norway is told about. Part of the national program aimed at developing natural tourism in the fascinating Nordic landscapes, the memorial uncovers the less known pages of the local history and invites travelers to honor the names and destinies of the people who lived here almost 400 years ago. The memorial was designed by two outstanding personalities: the US artist Louise Bourgeois and the Swiss architect Peter Zumthor.
