Abstract
One could present a problem of Human uniqueness in quite a radical way, that is: How is it possible that Athens and Auschwitz exist synchronously? The question is not abstract at all: it concerns both the history in the whole and each persons intimate fate. The question is addressed both the World and oneself: what is there in me personally as a Human being that any moment enables the existence of both Sokrates intrepidly drinking water hemlock potion, Beethoven composing the 9?th Symphony and a good citizen that adores children and law?obediently perform his routine duties as an executioner in a deat?camp? If a Human being is capable of all this at all, then I myself also possess something that could bring all that, even if only potentially.
