- Abstract
US and Russian politicians classify current cooling of relations between the two countries as the beginning of a new phase of the Cold War. How in these conditions American public opinion manifests itself? What motivates it? What trends are crucial and which are merely a reflection of the momentary situation? How was changing American public opinion against Russia over the past 25 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union and what could be expected in the near future? These and other questions related to the perception of Russia by American public opinion, are discussed in this article.
