- Abstract
- The subject of "Wandering of the hermit artist" as an important dimension of the traditional artistic performance in the Far East region is considered. The concept of the indissoluble unity of immutability and changes is a basic foundation of the Chinese and Japanese aesthetic traditions. During his "aimless Wandering", the traditional artist undergoes changes in the physical, emotional and mental state, which yield results in his works of art. The latter serve as the evidence of his "transfiguration". At the same time, artistic "Way" ("Geido") is the symbol of the distinctive steadiness of the Japanese traditional system of arts.
