Abstract

A translation of the article written in 1915 is presented. In the article criteria of professionalism of a social worker are discussed as well as ethical standards regulating a social worker's activities and relation between the science and the society. The preface by N.I. Ptitsyna describe social, cultural and scholar environment in which the article was written.
