Choosing the linear one that put an axiological mark on the future, one predeter mines establishing two forms of eschatological thinking - the religious one and the secular one. It is shown that secular eschatological thinking proves meaningless without original religious aims. The only rationale for the eschatological thinking of the secular type may be found in the countdown of time. A principal question is sets: In relation to what future event such countdown is being imposed upon the mankind that does proclaime purely secular values?
