Abstract

In July, 2012 in Nizny Novgorod a round-table session "Dilemma of the Artificial vs the Natural in Human existence" took place. The round-table was run under the framework of the VI Russian Philosophical Congress and was organized by the Branch for Integrated Problems in the Study of Man of The Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and "Chelovek" ("Study of Man") journal. Conception, birth, aging, dying, Human corporeality became a subject of the broad and ramified system of biomedical technologies; the increase in humanity's industrial and technological capabilities is accompanied by the increase in our dependence on those capabilities and by various anthro- pogenic disasters challenging the existence of civilization and of Human species.
