Abstract
Medicine in the modern world is primarily a science, but the medical system of consciousness and practice are strongly dependent on culture. The purpose of this article is to reveal the situation of medical experience dependence from the most important cultural aspects basing on concrete material. Basic structures of medical experience, defined by the situation of treatment, are doctor, patient, illness, drug, health, body. The specific attitude to a human body, doctor and patient figures, the peculiarities of understanding of the nature of health and illness, the attitude towards drugs in western countries - Germany, Britain, France, USA and Russia are revealed in this article basing on this classification.
