- Abstract
- The paper discusses the category of nonhuman that is often used in contemporary Russian literature. Observation of the standard rules of social behavior can be a criterion of human. When these rules are not observed, such malfunctions are often understood as failures of the human nature. Writers try to conceive the process of forming and destruction of the thinnest layer of the nonhuman. Society that catastrophically changed during the 20th century compels them to turn to profound philosophical problems.
