- Abstract
- In the article the revolutionary necropolis in Red Square and Lenin Mausoleum (Moscow, Russia) is analyzed from the phenomenology and semiotics perspective. It is supposed the main archetypes, having to do with a human wish for overcoming death, have been presented in these objects by the variety of semiotic tools. The author argues that the use of specific modes of architectural space semantization, harmony in foursquare figures placement, and mirror images constitute the peculiar symbolic text. The architectural complex nowadays determines the series of significant social effects in maintaining the societal stability.
