- Abstract
- The article analyzes the changes in the style of the interior of Russian home in the context of the transformation of "home" concept into the concept of "machine to stay" during the XX century. The house was "home" in the true sense, "the text", which was deeply related to personal, aesthetic, religious and others aspects of human existence. Modern housing meets mainly the vital needs, and so we can see a formation of psychology of the absence of mode of life. The article deals with markers of the loss of the home, typifica-tion and standardization of the interior.
