The problem of socio-cultural reception and meaning of the unborn is discussed. Is it possible to determinate the unborn stage as a real life or does the human being start being at the point of birth and this preborn state is just the “disembodied “Who”, existing only in the form of question?”. The conclusion based on the analyses of different models of the embryo’s status is made concerning the vectors of reception of unborn, when it is viewed in the context of subject-to-subject or subject-to-object relations.
