Abstract
The phenomenon of “moral idiocy”, that is the subject’s inability an unwillingness to realize moral value of his/her acts, especially the ones ordered by the state, is based on Hannah Arendt’s book Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil. The fact that it is conformism that underlies the “moral idiocy” is highlighted.
