Abstract
“The Book of Tasty and Healthy Food” is analyzed as a unique image of a totalitarian gastro nomic mythology. This is the only cookbook where samples of the gastronomic culture are mixed with the ideological principles demonstrations. The structure of the “The Book of Tasty and Healthy Food” is considered as well as its basic discourses and rhetorics, its key role in shaping the Soviet gastronomic culture are studied.
