Abstract
The subject of the article is the creative work by the contemporary artist Petr Pavlovich Yefremov, who has illustrated more than 300 books on philosophy and culture studies. The article considers the problems arising in this field of creative art. It puts forward the idea that an illustrator of the works in humanities acts as an “interpretor”, as a hermeneut looking for the visual correlates of philosophical meanings.
