Abstract
Тhю article attempts to present the relationship between the individual and his/her disease as a specific “game". All the individual's life is being lived in the unconscious anticipation of the “game" with the disease whose rules are not known to the individual. Though the game itself is of compulsory nature, a disease gives a person some limited freedom to construct his/her way of life. Two interrelated scenarios of the “ game" with the disease are identified: “a game-roulette" and “a game-masquerade".
