Abstract
The ideas on drivers of the evolution and its direction are illustrated by a specific example of the upper Paleolithic cultural syncresis breakdown. It is alleged that the breakdown was powered by a gender issue provoked by a gender-based split of the primeval collective. It is shown how a human-speci- phic morphological-physiological problem of sexes’ relation transformed into gender issue of Culture: the “famine” neolith was organized around the idea of fertility while the musculine one - around the idea of expansion.
